Current Job Postings

Community Engagement Specialist                                          

Shift: 80 Hours Per Pay Period, M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (may vary)

The Community Engagement Specialist contributes to the development of the agency marketing plan.  Coordinates community education and outreach opportunities for hospice and palliative care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and policy of Harbor Hospice.  Will plan and coordinate marketing and education initiatives and speaking opportunities along with assigning responsibility to team members as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.

Intake RN – Registered Nurse                                                        

**Signing & Retention Bonus $3,000.00!**

Shift: 48 Hours Per Pay Period, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (varies)

The Intake RN is responsible for patient referrals and intake activity; liaison with area discharge planners, referrers, payers and patients/families.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current state of Michigan Registered Nurse License.
  • Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.

Home Care Float RN – Registered Nurse                                                        

**Signing & Retention Bonus $3,000.00!**

Shift: 72 Hours Per Pay Period, M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (week days vary) and 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Every Other Weekend

The RN provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient/family/caregiver as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulation as established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient and the policies of Harbor Hospice.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current state of Michigan Registered Nurse License.
  • Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.

On Call Home Care RN – Registered Nurse                                                        

**Signing & Retention Bonus $3,000.00!**

Shift: 7 Evening Shifts Per Pay Period, 4:00 pm – 8:00 am

The On Call RN is responsible for providing nursing care, teaching and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families in their home, in accordance with Hospice Patient Care Plans on an on call basis between the hours of 4:30 pm and 8:00 am weekdays.  Weekend schedule is shared by two first call nurses.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) Nursing.
  • Currently licensed as an RN through the State Board of Nursing.
  • At least one year’s general nursing experience is required with current Hospice, medical, surgical or critical care experience.  Has experience with providing good pain management, IV skills preferred.
  • Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.

PRN Residence Nurse – Registered Nurse

Shift: Varies

The RN provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient/family/caregiver as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulation as established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient and the policies of Harbor Hospice.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current state of Michigan Registered Nurse License.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.
  • Must be very flexible and able to work all shifts.
  • Able to work various roles at our hospice residence.
