Annual event raising funds and awareness for the Harbor Hospice Foundation and supporting The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence program was held on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
Since 2006, the philanthropic day has brought in almost $15,000 (since May 25) with all proceeds benefiting our inpatient hospice program, The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence, which opened in 2005. Almost 3,000 patients and families have called this their home.
Held in Fruitport and in conjunction with the Fruitport Old-Fashioned Days Festival – the community has joined us for the past 13 years to ride around beautiful spring lake in memory of loved ones who have died.
The morning began with rider check-in and late registration, informal welcoming and surprise prize giveaways. The ride kicked-off at 11:00 am with all riders are encouraged to take their time. This is not a timed race, only leisurely fun in support of our hospice residence wiht a complimentary lunch at the festival at conclusion of ride.
