Words From Our Team
Prior to working for Harbor Hospice, I did not have much support in my role as a nurse. Since starting with Harbor Hospice, the support I have received has helped me grow in my field as a nurse, especially a hospice nurse. From the training, education platform, senior leadership involvement, and recently becoming Certified in Hospice and Palliative care, I have been supported in the growth of my nursing career from the beginning. By Harbor Hospice truly supporting that growth, it allowed me to be a better clinician and support for my patients and families; having the knowledge to support my teachings means a lot to them.
Vanessa, BSN, RN, CHPN
I love working at Harbor Hospice. We have a great team that is truly dedicated to caring for patients and family members at a critical time in their lives. It is a special privilege to work with such a great group of people who support each other and are dedicated to their work.
Curtis, Chaplain
I work at Harbor Hospice because it’s rewarding to help patients have the best quality of life for however much time they have left. Everyone here has such compassion for what they do, truly caring about the patients, families, and their co-workers. The most fulfilling part of my job is managing the staff at the Poppen Residence and watching their exceptional work every day. They engage with patients and families and support each other during tough times. We have an awesome, dedicated team, and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else.
Lori, RN Residence Manager
Harbor Hospice is the most rewarding job I've ever had. Each day brings unique, emotional, or challenging moments. I provide personal care for patients, educate families, and offer tools to help them through the passing of a loved one. I feel blessed daily and am grateful to be part of the amazing Harbor team.
Christine, CNA
I lost a parent to cancer at a young age and understand how difficult the journey can be. I love working at Harbor Hospice because I get to be part of something that helps those facing similar struggles. I hear powerful stories of love, life, loss, and healing from our patients and their families, and in some ways, it feels like we're healing together.
