Recognizing Service and Providing Care
Taking care of our country’s Veterans one patient at a time.
Embracing Their Stories and Honoring Their Service
Throughout the year, we hold social gatherings with Veterans, and our Veteran volunteers frequently visit hospice patients who are Veterans to listen to their stories and offer grateful acknowledgment of their service. We also offer a very personal ceremony during which we present a Veteran with a specially designed pin, giving us another opportunity to thank both our Veterans and the family members that surround them for the sacrifices they made in service to this country.
Honoring Our Veterans with Compassionate Care
Our mission is to provide compassionate, dignified, and tailored support that recognizes each Veteran’s unique experiences and contributions. We are committed to ensuring every Veteran feels respected, remembered, and valued, and that their legacy of service is preserved with gratitude.
Through meaningful connections, personalized care, and acts of recognition, Harbor Hospice celebrates the strength, resilience, and enduring impact of those who have served our nation.
Celebrating our Veteran Volunteers
Harbor Hospice is proud to announce that Larry Friday, a dedicated Veteran Volunteer and proud U.S. Air Force veteran has been awarded the 2025 Governor’s Service Award – one of Michigan’s highest honors for volunteerism and community service.
Larry has been an integral part of our Veteran program, spending countless hours visiting with fellow veterans in hospice care and ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve. Please join us in congratulating Larry Friday on this incredible achievement and thanking him for his unwavering dedication to our mission and to those who served.
