Finding Peace Through Creativity

Helping hospice care patients to express themselves.

Exploring Feelings Through Making Art

Our patients and our art therapist come together to make art in all its fun and imaginative forms from pencils and paint to clay. This gentle, creative therapy offers patients the opportunity to express thoughts and feelings that they may not be able to do with words and to find peace and resolution in the process. And no art skills are necessary!

Some of our patients have enjoyed creating lasting treasures like hand-sized paintings or birdhouses to share with others. Some patients like to describe something, like an event or a memory, so the therapist can create an image of it for them. Many like to work independently and find joy and peace in the simple process of making something that comes from the heart.
