Supporting Camp Courage at our 10th Annual Purse Party
We are so excited to host our 10th annual Purse Party this year on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026. The event will once again take place at the White Lake Eagles Club at 1204 S Lake St. in Whitehall.
Shop for hundreds of new and gently used bags, with prices starting at just $5. A ‘buy it now’ option, as well as live and silent auctions, will be featured. Community members and artists from the Arts Council of White Lake also contribute fabulous handbags that they have embellished.
All proceeds will help fund Camp Courage for children in West Michigan who are grieving the death of someone close. An Eagles membership is not required to attend.
If you are interested in donating a new or gently used purse for our auction, you can drop them off at our main office, located at 1050 W Western Ave, Suite 400 in Muskegon (The 4th floor of the Fricano’s Building). Or at our Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence at 2065 E Mount Garfield Rd in Muskegon.
Donations are also being collected at the American Legion Post 69 in Whitehall and at Pioneer Resources in Muskegon. Donations will be accepted until April 20th, 2026.
The 9th Annual Purse Party
For the 9th year in a row, we held our annual Purse Party, welcoming the community to come check out handbags and support a good cause.
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over $3,600 in support of Harbor Hospice Camp Courage! A huge thank you to everyone who donated handbags, purchased handbags, and helped make this event a success. Your support enables us to continue the important work at Camp Courage, offering a nurturing environment where children who have lost a loved one can find solace and support.
Your contributions make it possible for these children to experience the support and community they need during such a difficult time.
Start saving those handbags because we can’t wait to see you all in 2026 to celebrate 10 years of the Purse Party and continue our support for Camp Courage! Our 10th annual Purse Party is set for Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m.
