Healing with Horses

Supporting the Harbor Hospice Foundation at the fairgrounds

Providing Grief Support with Horses

Each year, we invite members of the community to bring your horse and explore our beautifully themed trails at your own pace! Whether you’re a rider or simply a horse enthusiast, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy horse obstacle courses, themed riding trails, wagon rides with Clydesdale and Halflinger horses, a silent auction, and the chance to honor a loved one on our Memorial Trail.

The 4th Annual Horses for Harbor Hospice trail ride

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Horses for Hospice! We are so grateful for the community and volunteers who came out to support this amazing event.

Each year, Horses for Harbor Hospice invites the public to bring your horse and explore our themed trails. For the first time, this year’s event was held at the Muskegon County Fairgrounds and included riding trails, lunch, door prizes, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, and a silent auction.

All proceeds support the Bob and Merle Scolnik Healing Center of Harbor Hospice and its transformative grief support programs. This year we raised $10,345!

The event will return next year on September 19, 2026. Stay tuned for updates for our next event.
