Annual event raising funds and awareness for the Harbor Hospice Foundation and supporting The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence program came back with May 28 and virtual May 21-28.
In 2022, the 41st Annual Fruitport Old Fashioned Days 5K run benefited the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence. Participates rann, jogged, walked, or rode in memory or honor of a loved one.
“We are grateful for the continued support of our community partners as they host the annual Run and Ride to Remember benefitting the Harbor Hospice Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence. We are very excited to have this event in-person and to see the participants enjoy this special event!,” Ammy Seymour, Director of Development Harbor Hospice Foundation.
Since 2006, the Fruitport and surrounding communities have supported the charity bike ride with over $23,000 in proceeds benefiting our inpatient hospice program, The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence, which opened in 2005. Over 3,500 patients and families have called this their home at end-of-life.
