A unique and fun experience awaits our West Michigan community on Saturday, September 16, 2023, when the Harbor Hospice Foundation partners with Harbor Hospice nursing assistant Melissa DeWitt to present Horses for Harbor Hospice. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., equestrians, along with their family members and friends, will enjoy trail riding, hayrides, a silent auction and raffle, a Horseshoe Hunt, and more at the Muskegon County Trail Riders White Pine Trail.
This event will help underwrite our compassionate, life-changing grief support programs that include group sessions, individual counseling, and a library of excellent reading materials that we offer at no charge to adults and children struggling after the death of someone close. Our grief support is also available to anyone experiencing other kinds of grief, such as the sense of loss that can come from going through a divorce, being diagnosed with a serious health issue, or after the passing of a beloved pet.
This fundraising event is particularly meaningful because of the healing connection horses can often make with those who are grieving.
We hope to see you on the trail!
